Therapeutic Touch was born 30 years ago today!
That was half my life ago. Without any idea where I was headed, I took a big leap of faith. Because sometimes the bubbling desires in our hearts speak softly but won’t let us go. And we know.
I knew it was time to come out of the closet and trust what was calling. No more hiding or keeping quiet. When you find your passion its jump-time!
Without a business or backup plan, I said YES and committed with all my heart to serve. It’s been a wild and fun journey ever since. People came and Therapeutic Touch grew organically from one room, one-woman show, to what it is today. We’ve blossomed over the years and attracted an extraordinary team of gifted, talented and heart-centered therapists and healers.
I believe its been an act of providence and divine intervention. There’s no way I could’ve pulled this off without lots of help.
Today I look back with amazement, a grateful heart & no regrets. 💜The words of Annie Dillard capture my sentiment:
"How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives. What we do with this hour, and that one, is what we are doing. A schedule defends from chaos to whim. It is a net for catching days. It is a scaffolding on which a worker can stand and LABOR WITH BOTH HANDS at sections of time. A schedule is a mock-up of reason and order-willed, faked & so brought into being; it is a PEACE and a HAVEN set into a wreck of time; it is a LIFEBOAT on which you find yourself, DECADES LATER, STILL LIVING.”
